Street Light Maintenance

The Public Works Department performs a street light survey twice each fiscal year, once in the fall and once in the spring. The department then schedules repairs for the problems found during the street light survey.

During other times of the year, the department schedules and repairs street lights as problems are reported. The following is the process that residents can use to report a problem with a street light:

  • Some street lights that may appear to belong to the Village of Royal Palm Beach could belong to either a private owner or Palm Beach County which is maintained by FPL. (For a Roadway Lighting Responsibility Map, Click HERE
  • To get a street light repaired, retrieve the identification numbers off the streetlight in question.
  • Enter the concern online using WebQA and leave the ID numbers and the description of the problem.
  • OR call Public Works at (561) 790 – 5122 and leave the information with the secretary.

Upon receiving the information and normal availability of products, street lights maintained by the Village are repaired within 5 to 10 days, while street light repairs in other jurisdictions may take 14 to 21 days.
