Royal Palm Beach Commons Grand Opening

Friday, March 22

The Village of Royal Palm Beach is celebrating the Grand Opening of Royal Palm Beach Commons beginning Friday, March 22 and continuing through Sunday, March 24 at 5:00 pm. Friday’s festivities will begin at 5:00 pm with entertainment by our local community schools, dance studios, and karate studios on the Royal Palm Auto Mall stage. Give Mom & Dad the evening off from cooking and come out and enjoy the ever popular Food Truck Invasion. They will be on hand with over 20 gourmet food vendors who will appeal to anyone’s palate. You can enjoy your dinner while watching your children enjoy themselves in the Kids Fun Zone, an area packed with carnival style rides, slides, and inter-active games. An Art and Craft show will also be on hand. Great shopping will be a premium at the park featuring local artists who will be displaying their many hand painted and hand crafted masterpieces. In the evening, bring out the lawn chairs and blankets, relax and enjoy the movie night blockbuster hit “The Amazing Spider-Man” (PG-13) beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 23, the park will feature multiple activities throughout the day. First is a 5k Run/Walk Race benefiting the “Wounded Warrior Project” beginning at 7:30 a.m., followed by a Kids K Run/Walk Race and award ceremony at 9:00 a.m. Register early to become part of this historic event. The activities keep rolling in beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a continuation of our Kids Fun Zone, Food Truck Invasion, and Art & Craft Show, gearing up for the rest of day and evening. The musical performances kick off at 1:00 p.m. on the Royal Palm Auto Mall stage with local country talent Jess Taylor, followed by Nashville Recording artist Tom Jackson. The entertainment continues with a “walk through the decades” featuring live tribute bands from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. “Orange Sunshine” will begin the 60’s tribute series followed by “Long Run- Eagles 70’s Tribute Band” and “Lazy Bonez- Rock of Ages 80’s Tribute Band”. An interactive DJ will also be on hand spinning all the great hits, along with other entertainers who will be performing throughout the park. In addition to all the outstanding entertainment, there will be other activities for you to enjoy, including: a Corn-Hole Tournament and Volleyball Tournament. There will also be PBSO and PBCFR Static Displays and demonstration teams. Kayak, canoes, and paddle boat rentals will be available for you to enjoy our beautiful 19 acre lake that surrounds the magnificent 10 acre great lawn. Brush up on your golf game and visit our golf training facility, consisting of a driving range, two chipping greens, and the tournament lawn, which has 18 holes for putting. These are just some of the many highlights and activities you may explore as you travel throughout our park.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. the evening will be capped off with a Zambelli’s Fireworks Show. Parking is available throughout the park, and onsite overflow parking will be available with a shuttle service.

On Sunday, March 24, the following activities will conclude the weekends’ festivities. Stroll through the park beginning at 10:00 a.m. and visit our Green Market, made up of local vendors and farmers selling fresh produce grown locally in Palm Beach County. Also visit the Classic Car Show, where beautiful cars will be on display throughout the day. Starting at 10:00 a.m. the Royal Palm Auto Mall stage will feature two performances, featuring the smooth jazz, rhythm and blues sounds of Billy Bones, followed by “Jimmy Stowe & the Stowaways”, a Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band. So sit back and enjoy the sounds of Margaritaville! All weekend activities and entertainment, including the Kids Fun Zone, Food Truck Invasion, Fine Arts and Craft Show, as well as the Bounce Houses, will come to an end at 5:00 p.m.

Don’t forget the children’s bathing suits so that they can enjoy the interactive splash fountain located at the entrance of the Sporting Center.

For the adults, sit back and enjoy a cold brew in our Banquet Garden located at the entrance of the Great Lawn.
